Magic: The Gathering | Star Trek comes out on Friday, 13 November 2026, with Prerelease events from 6 to 12 November and MTG Arena on 10 November. Wizards says nearly every incarnation of Star Trek is in it, from The Original Series to the newest shows. Below: every product with Wizards' MSRP and TCGplayer's preorder price, the four Commander decks, what collectors are chasing, and the highest preorder prices so far.
Every product, its MSRP and its preorder price
Contents and MSRPs are from Wizards' collecting guide and buyer's guide. The TCGplayer column is each product's preorder market price on 25 October, before release.

Prerelease Pack 6 Play Boosters, a traditional foil rare or mythic rare, a deck box and a spindown die |
— | $38.01 |
Two patterns stand out. Play Boosters are cheap by the box and expensive one at a time: a Play Booster Box works out well under MSRP per pack, while a loose pack preorders at about twice it. Collector Boosters run the other way, above their $37.99 MSRP even by the box. The Bundle and Draft Night are preordering below MSRP, and the Beam Me Up Bundle, the only bundle with a Collector Booster and two Spacecraft promos in it, well above.
The four Commander decks
Each deck is 100 cards with a traditional foil borderless face commander and 32 new-to-Magic cards, at an MSRP of $74.99. The Collector's Edition has the same decklist with every card in surge foil, at $159.99. TCGplayer preorder prices on 25 October:
| Deck | Regular | Collector's Edition |
|---|---|---|
|
Federation Fleet Blue-Red-White Face commander: Jean-Luc Picard, Luminary |
Deck $71.77 | Collector's Edition $223.90 |
|
Landing Party Green-White-Blue Face commander: Commander Spock |
Deck $79.03 | Collector's Edition $290.17 |

|
We Are the Borg White-Blue-Black Face commander: The Borg Queen |

The regular decks are preordering close to MSRP; every Collector's Edition is well over it. Wizards has not revealed the full decklists yet, so no deck's card value can be counted. One thing to know before you preorder: Wizards says Commander decks in North America may arrive after the release date.
What collectors are chasing
- Signed headliner cards. Seven cards, each physically signed by a Star Trek actor, with fewer than 250 copies of each. They come only in Collector Boosters, in any language, and are always in English. None has a price yet.
- Stardates cards. Thirty mythic rare reprints of Magic favorites with Star Trek art and names: Kenrith, the Returned King becomes "General Picard, Earth Warlord". Non-foil ones turn up in Play Boosters (Wizards says one in 25 Play Boosters has one, in place of a common) and Collector Boosters; foil ones only in Collector Boosters.
- LCARS shock lands. All ten shock lands, framed as the Enterprise's computer screens. Non-foil and foil versions come in both booster types; surge foil only in Collector Boosters.
- Klingon script cards. Cards translated into Klingon, in traditional foil, only in Collector Boosters, and always in Klingon whatever the booster's language.

The dearest card by far is a reprint: Sheoldred, the Apocalypse, first printed in Dominaria United in 2022, here as a borderless stardates card. Read the rest with care: only 72 of the 471 printings in our records had a TCGplayer price on 25 October, and the six LCARS shock lands all listed at exactly the same price, the mark of an early listing or two rather than a market. Preorder prices like these tend to move a lot once boxes are opened. The prices in the table update nightly.
